Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
Last updated: MalluCanada keeps this policy current — please review it periodically.
At MalluCanada (“we”, “us”, “our”) we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and to the event discovery, ticketing and account services we provide.
Information we collect
- Account information — when an event host or organizer creates an account: name, email address and the password you set.
- Booking & ticket information — when you buy or reserve tickets: the buyer’s name and email, attendee names where required, ticket quantities and the event booked.
- Payment information — card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; we keep only a record of the transaction (amount, status and a reference).
- Messages you send us — if you use our contact form or email us, we keep your name, email, phone (if provided) and your message so we can respond.
- Marketing preferences — whether you have opted in to receive event news and promotions.
- Information collected automatically — basic technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and how you use the site, gathered through cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and secure.
How we use your information
- To process bookings and deliver your tickets and receipts by email.
- To create and manage host/organizer accounts and the Organizer Dashboard.
- To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
- To send event news and promotions — only if you have opted in; you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and prevent fraud.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe, which acts as an independent processor of your card details. Your use of Stripe’s services is subject to Stripe’s own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our services:
- Event organizers receive the attendee details for the events you book from them, so they can admit you and manage their event.
- Service providers who work on our behalf — for example Stripe (payments) and our email delivery provider — under agreements that require them to protect your data.
- Legal reasons — where we are required to by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to function (such as keeping you signed in and remembering your preferences) and may use limited analytics to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect how the site works.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, booking and payment records are retained as required for accounting and legal reasons. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer required.
Your rights & choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you marketing. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. Depending on where you live (including under Canada’s PIPEDA), you may have additional rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure payment processing and automatic sign-out of inactive sessions. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
